PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS

A Heat Gun is Highly recommended to apply Screen Prints due to the differential heat settings for each different type of Transfers.

<<<PRESSURE TEST:  https://www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2018/02/heat-press-pressure-test-paper-or.html

Every Heat Press is uniquely made, and temps and pressure are not ALWAYS accurate. Adjusting for your individual press is necessary and we highly recommend a heat gun. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PRESSING ISSUES DUE TO INACCURATE TEMPERATURE OR PRESSURE.

LOW HEAT FORMULA

  • 325 degrees Fahrenheit
  • HEAVY PRESSURE 7-9 PSI.
  • Pre-press for 7 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture.
  • Press for 7 seconds, HOT PEEL.
  • No Teflon, covers, pillows.

HIGH HEAT FORMULA

** Recommended for 100% Cotton Shirts, if polyester is present, place parchment paper inside to prevent any transferring through the shirt **

These REQUIRE AN ACCURATE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE, they are a much softer transfer, but are not as user friendly as the low heat formula. YOU MUST USE A HEAT GUN TO TEST THE ACCURACY OF YOUR PRESS PRIOR TO PRESSING.

  • 350 degrees.
  • IF YOU'RE USING A BUDGET PRESS (UNDER $600) we recommend increasing your heat by 10-20 degrees.
  • HEAVY PRESSURE 8-9 PSI.
  • Pre-press for 7 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture.
  • Press for 7-12 seconds, HOT PEEL.
  • No teflon, covers, pillows; you MAY need to make an exception AND USE A PRESSING PILLOW if you have problems obtaining a high enough pressure setting.
  • PEEL SLOWLY, IF IT IS STICKING INCREASE YOUR HEAT AND PRESS IT AGAIN UNTIL IT PEELS EASILY. IF THE PRINT IS DULL, IT WAS PRESSED TOO HOT, IF IT IS STICKING YOUR HEAT IS NOT HIGH ENOUGH.

1/2 COLOR FORMULA

These REQUIRE AN ACCURATE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE, they are a much softer transfer, but are not as user friendly as the low heat formula. YOU MUST USE A HEAT GUN TO TEST THE ACCURACY OF YOUR PRESS PRIOR TO PRESSING.

  • 375/385 degrees

Ready to Press | Laser Print Heat Transfers

Steps:

1. Pre-press to remove any wrinkles or moistures from the textile for a couple of seconds.

2. Place the transfer paper on the textile and cover it with parchment paper or waxed kraft paper.

3. First Pressing Temperature & Time
    •100% Cotton: 285-310°F for 30 seconds
    •100% Polyester: 250-285°F for 30 seconds
    •Blend Fabric: 250-285°F for 30 seconds

4. After the first pressing, set the textile on the side let it COOL DOWN completely. Once the textile is COOL DOWN, start peeling the transfer from the corner, be sure to apply some pressure, and roll it off in a slow and steady motion.
(Adjust to a harder pressure and repress again if the transfer is not sticking to the textile)

5. Second Pressing Temperature & Time (VERY IMPORTANT)
    •100% Cotton: 285-310°F for 30 seconds
    •100% Polyester: 250-285°F for 30 seconds
    •Blend Fabric: 250-285°F for 30 seconds

(To ensure a Matt Finish and Good Washability, it is very important to repress it again)

6. If you are using "Parchment Paper", peel off the paper when it is completely COOL after the second pressing.

If you are using "Waxed Kraft Paper", peel off the paper immediately after the second pressing.

7. Lightly stretch the fabric after removing the parchment paper or kraft paper while on the press. (This step will minimize cracking after washing)

Wash & Care
These steps are very important if you want the transfer to stay on the textile for a long time

(Full-color transfer can last up to 50 washes)

Turn textile inside out before wash

  • Wash in cold water

  • Use mild detergent

  • Do not use any bleaching materials

  • Hang dry

  • Do not iron

White Toner - Digital Print (these are NOT HTV)

This choice is great for dark or cotton applications.

    TATTOOS application instructions

    1. Typically, one transfer sheet will contain several images since temporary tattoos are usually small. Cut out the individual images that you wish to apply. You do not need to cut them precisely because the paper is weed-free, and therefore the background will not be visible.
    2. Clean the application area with a warm, wet towel and dry thoroughly. The skin cannot be we, moist or tacky at all or the tattoo will not adhere properly.  Using an alcohol wipe will work as well.
    3. Holding your image, peel the thin plastic, translucent top printed layer away from the white paper liner. Discard the liner. If you are having trouble removing the film, lay the tattoo flat and use your fingernail to peel away the edge, or use a small pin to get one corner started.

4 Lay the image down on the application area, white toner down, bright color side up. Smooth out by applying pressure as you move your finger from one edge to the other back and forth several times to create a good bond. It should rest as flat as possible on the skin with no wrinkles.

    1. Thoroughly wet a towel with warm water and press it directly onto the applied image with firm, even pressure for about 30 seconds to one minute. The plastic layer will dissolve during this process.
    2. After about 30 seconds to 1 minute, carefully lift the towel away and wipe the excess adhesive off the skin with smooth, even motions.
    3. You now have a temporary tattoo that will last for up to a week or 2 if proper care is taken. Apply moisturizer to protect the image and for additional durability.
